Weaving Class with My Young Posse

Six of the kids in the neighborhood have adopted me and have been learning to weave using the looms. Five have completed at least one project and in addition to weaving we have made cookies and decorated some Christmas Tree cookies.

I have added many new colors and yarns to my California Leis and have a new price structure for ALL of my leis. The majority of the leis are made from Lion Brand fun Fur, Fancy Fur and Trellis. Below and to the left are links to the color charts for these yarns. Most colors are available or suitable substitutes can be made.

All Leis are available in four (4) sizes:

Size 1 - Ponytail holder; hair accessory; fancy collar for cats and small dogs (approximately 8-10 inches) $4.00

Size 2 - Child (pre-teen); fancy collar for medium to large dogs (approximately 14-16 inches) $7.50

Size 3 - Teen and Adult; extra large dog (approximately 18-20 inches) $12.00

Size 4 - Teen and Adult (approximately 22-24 inches) $15.00

Sizes can vary slightly according to the elasticity of the yarns. Longer sizes available by special order.

Get your orders in early for Christmas - cannot guarantee Christmas delivery on orders made after December 10, 2007.

The hours are Monday - Saturday 10 to 7 and Sunday's 11-5 and the phone number is 360 574-6400. Bart, the wonder beagle and resident “top dog” is featured in my lei slide show wearing a “Stained Glass” California Lei(R). Kristina and her staff feature healthy, natural foods for your pets and outstanding apparel, supplies and accessories for your favorite four-legged friends. You can often find a “rescue” pet wandering the floor room hoping to be adopted. Your pets are welcome.

Urban Fauna in the trendy Pearl District just north of downtown Portland to buy your pet California Leis(R). In addition to one of the largest selections of pet necessities and accessories, Suzanne and her friendly staff offer day care for your dogs and cats as well as professional grooming. Check them out at 235 NW Park (corner of Everett) in "The Pearl". Be sure you ask to meet Ursa; she's the big lovable dog that runs the place and she looks quite fetching in her Rainbow Red California Lei(R). You can call them at 503 223-4602. Suzanne invites you bring your dog or cat along when you visit.

And south of Portland you can also buy leis at Healthy Pets in the upscale lakeside community of Lake Oswego, Oregon is now carrying my pet leis. HP is located at 16140 SW Boones Ferry Road, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034. Their phone number is 503-636-3186.

Healthy foods and all natural products are the focus at this store, and they carry a line of fun gifts and supplies for your pet, including my California Leis(R) for cats and dogs. They are open from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday; 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and from 11:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Your well behaved, leashed, pet is welcome to explore the store with you.

Welcome to California Leis and other yarn designs that are all hand made, one-of-a-kind pieces. Prices are based on yarns used and time to create and make each piece. The leis come in one strand, two strand, three strand and four strand designs. The more strands the more yarn needed to create the piece, which is reflected in the prices.

The boas vary in price from $1.00 to $3.50 per inch, again depending on yarns and material used. The length is determined by the anchor strip and not the added fringe. So if a boa is 50" without fringe and 56" with fringe, the price will be calculated on the 50". Most of my boas are made using Lions Brand, Bernat, Patrons and other high quality yarns and fabrics. Although most boas can be machine washed or dry-cleans, I highly recommend hand washing and flat drying.

Also I can make every item in most any color scheme you need or desire. Just email me with requests and questions.

Shipping costs will be added to the cost of all items. All items are shipped via the United States Postal Service for a flat $8.00 regardless of number of items and includes tracking and insurance for orders over $50.00. Free shipping and insurance on all orders of $250.00 or more.

10% discount on orders of $150.00 and 15% discount on orders of $300.00.

50% deposit required on all special orders.
